Transportation:

Your vehicles can be sent by RORO or by container. This will depend on your location. From Japan to the western side of the DRC, only container shipping is available. For the East Side of the DRC the preferred shipping method is RORO but the container remains available.

Main Ports:

The ports most used to import vehicles into the DRC are:
West side:
Matadi
Pointe-Noire
Boma

East side:
Mombassa
Dar-Es-Salaam.

Container Conditions:

Two scenarios arise for the container market.
Full Container:
In the case of a full container with a single customer, the container freight price will be distributed equally across all vehicles that will be included in the order. Groupage:
When grouping, the freight price will be fairly distributed according to the size of the vehicles that will be included in the container in question.

Import Legislation:

The importation of vehicles for personal use more than 10 years old from the date of first circulation is prohibited in the DRC. Heavy goods vehicles, public works machines or agricultural machines may be exempt.
In all cases, it is your responsibility to check the legislation in force before making any purchase.

Necessary Documents:

All mandatory documents are sent by DHL Express.
Bill of Lading (BL) or (Maritime Bill of Lading)
Export Certificate
Proforma Invoice
Other documents may be included if necessary.

Payment:

Upon booking, you are granted a 5-working day window to complete the payment for your vehicle. Failure to do so will result in order cancellation.
